6. Risk Management
While navigating the Danish waters, the experience and knowledge of the Pilot concerning
the local conditions such as the waters, currents, water depths etc., as well as
traffic patterns are a deciding factor in ensuring a safe passage.
For certain areas, the route will be split into two or more fairways, and correct positioning
in relation to the traffic is vital for a safe passage.
Likewise, the geological conditions of certain areas leave a minimum of space
available for safe passage, and the addition of currents and wind can make the safe
passage of these areas difficult without the in-depth local knowledge of the areas.
Our Pilots are trained extensively, and are all highly experienced in navigating these

communication should be used to eliminate any doubt.
